A BRIEF HISTORY OF CHEVROLET
The Chevrolet brand is named for a Swiss-born race-car driver — Louis Chevrolet — who traveled through Europe and Canada before coming to the United States in the early 20th century. At that point, he teamed up with auto-entrepreneur William C. Durant to found the Chevrolet Motor Company in Detroit in 1911.
